We caught lots of stripers and an occasional halibut this week.



Meratage  Stripers 6/28/2011



 The halibut bite slowed this week but the stripers went wide open.

The day after the storm we had a trip with the guys from the Meratage in Napa. They had the best action in the morning.  We had 4 stripers on at a time 3 times and multiple triples and doubles. It was fun and the adrenalin was pumping for the crew as well as our guests.

  The morning was spent in the south bay just East of A buoy.  There’s large sand bar or hump and that’s what I keyed in on to start our drifts.

  We are back on the live bait and the bait looks fantastic.  We will continue to drift live bait and use the smaller gear throughout the season. Right now everything is working fine so we are going to stick with it.
