GREAT SMILE CAT!

LOVE, PASSION, CHARACTER and fishing……..
BOB

I 've had the opportunity to meet allot of people. Occasionally I meet people who seem to have serious  impact on my heart.
My last trip was a long one . We left at 6am with the intention of catching a salmon for an 81 year old man named Bob.  Bob traveled from New York with a long history of helping people.
Bob is a volunteer on a boat that takes people with mental and physical problems on boat rides.  Bob came to visit Cathi (AKA Cat).

Cat is a fanatical fish lady from Santa Rosa. Happy and willing , always there to see whats happening. I like people who are in the game. She kept everybody in a happy place.  Thanks Cat you are welcome anytime.

Sometimes you feel the need people have to catch a fish and yes, sometimes you have to work for your fish.  This was one of those days.
Our gear went out as soon as we passed the Bonita Channel marker.  With our bait in the water and lots of bait on the Fish finder ,we had high expectations . We continued all the way up to Duxbury reef bouy with one bite that didn't stick . Radio chatter indicated that all the boats were struggling or worse not talking.  We agreed it would be a good idea to get rock cod limits.
Rockcod fishing has been pretty good lately. It takes a while to get what you need. The Canary rock fish seem to dominate the catch. Unfortunately, Canary Rock fish need to go back dead or alive and catching them 2 at a time is not so good. 2 large ling cod were part of the bag. We finished at 3pm.
We trolled from the towers down to muir beach before we hooked a salmon. Bob finally got his salmon and we all were happy for him.
Todd, Cat, Bob, thanks for giving me the opportunity to be part of the fun.
