Up the coast again!

  Kerin from the Miratage resort in Napa   brought a few new friends.  Kerin stated last trip he wanted to get out in the ocean. He wanted some Ling cod or maybe a salmon.

  The weather report wasn’t that good. But Kerin is the guy that says, “so what” every time. His flat out dumb luck or good Karma has proven right every time. The weather regardless of the report was good enough to run up the coast for 16 miles at 17 knots and put the hurt on the lings. 

  We had one guy go down due to sea sickness. The other guys managed to fight it off.

  I always tell my passengers to take 2 pills the night before the trip. This ensures the pills are in your system. I have had great luck with this. It is so obvious when someone doesn’t follow your lead. They wind up hanging over the side in shear pain, vomiting and dry heaving like there’s no tomorrow.

  I have heard all of the excuses in 11 years of 6pack fishing. Most are just pure defiance and ego.  Its your day I would prefer you to have a good time. It’s a hard lesson.

Any how the lings are still biting and the salmon is just around the corner I promise.
